Italian Academy Fellowships 2010-2011

Only Recent PhDs and Faculty are eligible for this grant, fellowship, or residency.

Located on the campus of Columbia University in New York City, the Italian Academy is a renowned center for advanced research hosting scholars from around the world.

Applications are invited for projects related to cultural memory in all its aspects; to work at the intersection of history, ethnography, and anthropology; to encounters between cultures both historical and contemporary; and to the histories of art, music, literature, and philosophy. Applications dealing with the scientific and technological aspects of culture and memory are also encouraged. Special consideration will be given to proposals in the neurosciences relevant to the Academy’s ongoing project on Art and Neuroscience.

Three Alexander Bodini Research Fellowships are also available: one in Developmental and Adolescent Psychiatry, one in Culture.

Fellows receive a stipend, full health benefits, travel allowance, and an office in the Academy.
