Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Veteran’s Memorial Theater, 203 E 14th St, Davis

The 12th annual Davis Feminist Film Festival will bring a showcase of international short films to the Veteran’s Memorial Theater on May 12th, 2017. This festival focuses on films with perspectives often missing from mainstream media and strives for an inclusive public space for underrepresented artists – particularly women and people of color – to discuss gender, race, class, sexuality, and other dimensions of social inequality. We are proud to have the opportunity to present films with diverse social concerns and to simultaneously promote international filmmakers from Austria, Brazil, Ecuador, Greece, India, Iran, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland, and the United States. The festival is a fun, inspiring, community-building event for artists and audiences alike!

Doors and art showcase at 5 pm; films begin at 6 pm. Tickets are available in advance at the Women’s Resources and Research Center (WRRC), or at the door the night of the festival. Prices are suggested donations, and are on a sliding scale: student tickets $5 to $7, and general $7 to $10. Fee waivers are available.

This event is sponsored by Women’s Resources and Research Center, Student Affairs
