PhD Unlimited: CV/Resume Workshop

January 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Location: 228 Voorhies Hall

PhD Unlimited is a career development series tailored to the needs of students in the humanities and social sciences interested in meaningful careers inside and outside the academy, from faculty to academic administrator positions, to writing and researching, to management positions at non-profits and NGOs.

Bring your CVs to this hands-on workshop where we will discuss how to transform your CV into a professional resume tailored to that job you most want.
Meg Sparling, a Ph.D. alum in English at UC Davis, is the funding opportunities coordinator in the Office of Research (OR). Sarah Messbauer received her Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology and now coordinates the grantsmanship programs in the Interdisciplinary Research Services unit at OR.
Sparling and Messbauer will discuss how they transformed their academic CVs for jobs in research administration, leveraging both their experience as graduate students as well as in part-time administrative positions outside their doctoral programs.
Lunch will be provided.
