In late 2002, over 1500 audiotapes were discovered in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in a house once occupied by Osama bin Laden. The Audacious Ascetic by W. Flagg Miller, Professor, Religious Studies, is the first book to explore this extraordinary archive. Dr. Miller discusses how these recovered audiotapes challenge the existing narrative about al Qa’ida. A book signing follows the lecture.
