This week’s Lab topic is grading and evaluation. What might a feminist praxis or feminist science praxis of grading look like in today’s university? Come with questions, ideas, or tactics for grading and evaluation, just in time for midterms and finals.

The Lab is a learning and sharing space to wrestle through questions together: What is a feminist or feminist science pedagogy? What does it look like in practice? What can we learn from triumphs and catastrophes in attempting feminist pedagogy in our teaching practice, with colleagues, with community beyond the academy? We aim to foster experimentation and collaboration on feminist pedagogy beyond just a reading group. Every other week we will gather and offer space for people to workshop pedagogical questions or objects (lesson plans, syllabi, etc.), offer community care to each other as we work through teaching issues, and learn and experiment with feminist pedagogy from teachers locally and afar. Occasionally we will have more intensive workshops in addition to our bimonthly habit. Open to all, particularly to graduate students and junior scholars looking for a space to sort through these questions!
