Drop in to help us build an archive of movement syllabi. “Movement syllabi” are course syllabi intended for popular education or formal academic use, created by and for engagement around social movement issues historically and today. Powerful examples include the #FergusonSyllabus for BlackLiveMatter organizing (2014), or the #StandingRockSyllabus around the indigenous water protectors’ movement (2016). Bring a laptop or other digital device and help us build a publicly accessible, feminist-oriented archive of movement syllabi — collecting them together online, discussing how they can be used in practice, dreaming together!

The Lab is a learning and sharing space to wrestle through questions together: What is a feminist or feminist science pedagogy? What does it look like in practice? What can we learn from triumphs and catastrophes in attempting feminist pedagogy in our teaching practice, with colleagues, with community beyond the academy?

This event is sponsored by HATCH: Feminist Arts and Science Shop (Mellon Research Initiative)
