The UC Davis Humanities Institute hosts a grants calendar of extramural funding opportunities. Faculty may also conduct a personalized funding search using the Community of Science Pivot database, available through the UC Davis Office of Research. Pivot allows researchers to create and save customized searches of grants, fellowships, and other funding opportunities from public and private, domestic and international sources. Though the name refers to holdings on science funding, this service also offers a wealth of information on social sciences, humanities & community outreach funding.
Below are links to major grant sources in the humanities:
American Council of Learned Societies
National Endowment for the Humanities
John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
Social Science Research Council
Mellon Public Scholars Fellowship
The Office of Graduate Studies also offers internal fellowship and travel award opportunities.
The UC Davis Office of Graduate Studies maintains an alphabetical listing of external fellowships available to graduate students.
