Ghanaian Hip-Hop Film Screening & Lecture

Filmmaker Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi shows his film on hiplife music in Ghana entitled “HomeGrown: Hiplife in Ghana,” and Prof. Halifu Osumare gives a talk on her 2008 Fulbright Fellowship research on the hiplife movement entitled “Hiplife Culture: The Indigenization of Hip-Hop in Ghana.”  The event is free to the public and starts at 7:00 PM in Wellman 2.

Co-sponsors are the African American Studies Research Cluster of the Davis Humanities Institute, The Office of Campus Community Relations, and the Ethnic & Cultural Affairs Commission of the ASUCD.
