Artist Lecture by Larry McNeil and Da-ka-xeen Mehner

In conjunction wit the two-man exhibition at the C.N. Gorman Museum, the artists will be visiting UC Davis to speak about their new works. Both artists utilize photography to reflect upon their ancestral and personal histories, global climate change and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.

McNeil is Professor of Art at Boise State University and the recipient of numerous awards including the National Geographic, All Roads Photography Award, the prestigious Eiteljorg Fellowship in fine art, and the New Works award from En Foco.

Mehner is Assistant Professor of Native Arts at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the Director of the UAF Native Arts Center.
