National Endowment for the Humanities Funding Workshop

On Tuesday, February 2, from 9 am to 1 pm, the UC Davis Humanities Institute is hosting an NEH grantwriting workshop with Elizabeth Arndt, senior program officer in the Division of Research Programs of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The workshop will include an overview of NEH funding programs and special initiatives as well as a mock review panel to give a behind-the-scenes look at the proposal vetting process.

Elizabeth Arndt will also be available for 15 minute meetings with individual faculty to discuss pre-submitted proposals-in-progress on Monday, February 1, and Tuesday, February 2. Interested faculty should contact the DHI associate director to:

1) Schedule an appointment. Slots are limited and appointments will be made on a first come, first served basis.
2) Submit a 2-page “concept paper” summarizing your project and citing the NEH grant(s) for which you plan to apply.

These materials should be submitted as soon as possible but absolutely no later than Monday, January 11. Appointments without pre-submitted materials will be canceled.

This event is sponsored by UC Davis Humanities Institute
