Planning to do some field or archival research in the coming year? Want to expand your publicly engaged work? Have projects you dream about that would take co-conspirators and/or more resources to get off the ground? Curious about or overwhelmed by the current funding landscape?

On November 2 from 4:30-6pm in conference room 1246 in SSH, join the Davis Humanities Institute, Offices of Research and Inclusive Excellence, and Proposal Development Services for our inaugural Faculty Mixer, No More Wayfaring: Navigating the Funding Landscape and . . .

  • Learn about the resources and supports available to find and apply for grants
  • Connect with DHI and PDS staff to share what you’re working on or interested in
  • Mingle with fellow faculty members from across L&S over refreshments

Drop in any time but plan to be there from 4:45-5pm for a short informative session on applying for grants.

Why attend?

  • Turnaround times on grant applications are getting shorter. If DHI and PDS know what you’re working on or interested in, we can keep an eye out and be ready to assist more quickly when relevant opportunities come up.
  • It’ll be a one-stop-shop. Rather than spend time online tracking down resources, find them all in one place, put faces to the names of people who might assist you in the future, and get an overview of upcoming practical workshops to support your grant application endeavors.
  • Applying for funding can be stressful, especially these days. Community can help. Come make new connections, commiserate, and/or be inspired by the work happening across campus.
  • There will be refreshments (food, wine, and N/A drinks).

We hope to see you there! Register here.

This event is restricted to faculty.
