- Val Brelinski, author of the novel The Girl Who Slept With God. She was a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.
- Greg Glazner, author of three books of poetry, Cellar Testament, From the Iron Chair and Singularity. He has won the Walt Whitman Award and the Bess Hokin Prize.
