The DHI provides proposal assistance to humanities faculty seeking external grant support for specific projects. DHI staff is available by appointment to work with individual faculty on proposals-in-progress. Though we cannot provide research services into available funding sources, our staff can assist with strategic planning, budgeting, crafting initial grant application drafts, and fine-tuning drafts before final submission. We can also help facilitate collaborative grants for scholars across the humanities and between the humanities and sciences, including providing institutional and in-kind support for grants that support research or intellectual collaborations of small groups of faculty.
Other types of grant assistance include humanities grant workshops for faculty and graduate students during the academic year, a listing of CFPs for major funding sources in the humanities, and an archive of successful proposals to major funders.
