DHI and UC Davis Funding Opportunities

The DHI and UC Davis offer a number of funding opportunities for faculty and graduate students in the arts, humanities, and the humanistic social sciences.

DHI Funding includes the following programs for faculty

Research Clusters: to support collaboration across disciplines, colleges, and areas of expertise.

Faculty Research Seminar/Faculty Fellows: aims to help ladder-rank faculty in the humanities, arts and qualitative social sciences make progress on a major research or creative project.

Working Groups (previously Reading and Writing Groups): supports graduate students and faculty in the humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences who are interested in forming groups for reading, writing, and research collaborations. In 2022-2023, the program is aimed specifically at graduate students. 

Partnerships: collaborative, long-term partnerships

Mellon Research Initiatives (MRI): was an intense and focused exploration of a particular interdisciplinary topic of great importance to UC Davis, the region, and the world. The grant term of the MRI has now expired.
