Call for Presenters and Discussants: Spring 2021 Graduate Paper Workshops on International Migration

The Global Migration Center (GMC), with funding from the Gifford Population Center, is hosting a series of three workshops for graduate students in Spring 2021. These workshops are a great opportunity for graduate students to present their work, network, and receive feedback.
 
Research should be related to international migration and/or international populations and be of interest to a multidisciplinary audience.

Each speaker/presenter who is selected will receive $500 and each discussant who is selected will receive $150. Only current UC Davis graduate students will be allowed to participate. The workshops will be held remotely via Zoom and will take place on three different Thursdays in Spring quarter at noon.
 
If individuals are interested in participating as a presenter they should submit a one to two-page abstract outlining the research question, methodology, and main findings. Additionally, they should submit a brief one-paragraph professional biography. If a student is interested in participating as a discussant they should submit a half-page professional bio. These materials should be sent to Konrad Franco at klfranco@ucdavis.edu and Linn Normand at lnormand@ucdavis.edu no later than February 12, 2021.
