CFP: From the Global South to the Global North: Food History and Possible Futures in the Americas

We are pleased to invite graduate students to submit proposals for the one day -Colloquium “From the Global South to the Global North: Food History and Possible Futures in the Americas”, which will take place on February 6, 2020 as part of the First UC Davis Campus Global Theme “Food for Thought: Feeding Ourselves, Feeding the Planet”.

The Colloquium welcomes presentations that address recent insights about the origins of our foodways, and the relationship between eating habits, culinary practices, and environmental contexts. This event is an ideal environment to present works-in progress and receive constructive feedback from UC Davis faculty members, visiting scholars, and other graduate students.
