The American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) is offering one fellowship of 6 months for post-doctoral scholars at the institute in Amman, Jordan. The fellowship, provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), supports research in the humanities and disciplines of the social sciences that have humanistic content and employ humanistic methods, and contribute to scholarship in Near Eastern studies.
Humanities. Social Sciences. Classical languages, linguistics, literature, history, jurisprudence, philosophy, archaeology, comparative religion, ethics, and the history, criticism, and theory of the arts.
Open only to U.S. citizens. Must be a U.S. citizen or must have lived in the U.S. for 3 years immediately preceding the application deadline.
