Greetings First-Gen Students!

Josephine Moreno, the Graduate Diversity Officer (GDO) in HArCS, Social Sciences and Education and Sociology graduate student Aliyah Middleton are hosting a First-Generation Graduate Student Mixer. This is the first in a series of events that we are hosting over the academic year.

We will discuss intersectionality and identify important strategies for overcoming challenges typically experienced by first-gen graduate students, and particularly in this unprecedented year. The mixer is a perfect opportunity to meet other fellow first gen students and build an interdisciplinary community of first-gen grad students at UC Davis. We are looking forward to connecting with you!
