Within just three, single-spaced pages, applicants crafting the Narrative component of their NEH Fellowship proposals must describe their project in comprehensive yet clear terms that include all required information and explicitly address the written (and unwritten) merit review criteria.
In this second session of the NEH Fellowships Preparation Program, participants will learn more about the reasons why the NEH structures Narrative components in this way, leaving the session with:
- A better understanding of what the full requirements of the Narrative component is, and how their Narratives will be received & read by the NEH
- Experience applying these requirements to sample Narratives, both funded and non, gaining insights from the reviewer's perspective in the process
- A Narrative template that includes all required information, extra tips on writing for NEH reviewers, and offers writers a starting point for drafting strong documents
*All sessions in the FPP will be recorded and posted to the Research Development Toolbox*
