Whitney Phillips is a scholar of media literacy, mis- and disinformation, political communication, and digital ethics. She will discuss her recent book, You Are Here: A Field Guide for Navigating Polarized Speech, Conspiracy Theories, and Our Polluted Information Ecosystem, and guide participants through the use of networked storytelling as a pedagogical technique to help students navigate contemporary media ecosystems.
